Artist Statement:

The Magnificat! Mary's song of praise to our eternal God. This unique presentation of the Magnificat contains the full text of Luke 1:46-55 amid stars and planets. I visited NASA this summer, and the Hubble telescope IMAX images were awe inspiring. My whimsical take on the solar system will hopefully serve as a small reminder of the incredible "greatness of the Lord" that Mary proclaims. The 18x24 original watercolor was commissioned by a "Teams of Our Lady" group member - personalized prints will be gifts to the other members of her group. The mid-range sizes work well for personalizing - just select the "personalized" option for the size you'd like and include the details in the "message to seller." These would make awesome Confirmation or totally unique First Communion gifts!
